Trying to get at least one drawing done a month this year. At least one! Well I hope for more, but I can be satisfied with at least one. Cos that’d be twelve a year of course, twelve completed non-sketchy/non-crap artworks. Sounds like something I can accomplish.

Been wasting time doing a lot of other distracting things. Like Pigg Beatles! Pigg Ringo’s eyes aren’t blue like they should be but that wasn’t my fault; I’m Pigg George. (￣･￣)o xD With dancing mama here, we’re always trying to hold a concert but nobody wants to hear us. Except for that dog! Haha.

Also, this last.fm most listened-to album thingie! Neat neat.

Another art trade finished. Got one or maybe two to finish. Was slower than I wanted to be completing this one, I just didn’t know where to go with it. I knew I wanted it to look a lot different from the original, colour-wise anyway, needed to make it brighter. ヽ(^-^ヽ)♪ I’m glad with the outcome though, been trying to find a good use for this patterned paper.

Charcoal. My part of an art trade! The task was to draw HYDE, in Roentgen era. That’s my favourite of his solo works; I hope someday he revisits that David Sylvian-esque style and creates another album like it. Anyway…
This wasn’t the first attempt, I screwed that one up! Ahaha. So, although it’s got a blank background I think it works for this sort of basic, dark drawing. I rushed to get it completed, although I think it came out decent enough.

I never have anything to show for all the time I have. Except maybe my looong hair; all I can do successfully is become Man-punzel, ahahaha. (￣Д)＝３ Having an “art-blog” does not work as motivation.

Art is as difficult as always but today, at least, I worked for 4 hours straight on something. I’ve had 4 pieces of art recently come out into nothing at all. Either I’ve lost enthusiasm for it or plain wrecked it. ヽ(´〜｀；）ウーン When will this stop happening?! xD

Working on some commissions and gift-art, so at least I’m drawing again (forcefully, but in times like these this is the best way to get yourself to go.) Thinking of taking requests or something.

I know I always think I’ll stop being lazy…but I mean it this time!! Hahahaha.

Ok, I finally sketched something in my hardcover sketchbook. The books been empty for almost a year, ahaha. It’s silent actress Lila Lee. I resized it on the screen so it’s just about the same size as in the book. It’s good for the first small doodle anyway, I might end up ripping it out of the book because it’s falling out. (The pages seem like they’re all gonna fall out so easily.) Or else figure out a way to glue/reinforce the pages of the book…

Well, I’m at work on a mother and daughter portrait commission. Though, in between it I’m going to start a marker portrait of Marc Bolan I’ve been planning for some time. Get it going anyway, before I get distracted. It’s my 23rd birthday, but I don’t celebrate these things so it’s back to work. xDD (*´∀｀*)

Giftart. I had liked this reference picture a lot before I actually tried to draw it. But while I was drawing it I realised how strange it somewhat looked. The angle makes hyde’s face look…strangely long and thin? So I tried to draw his face a bit differently, wider and without that nose-shadow. I’m not so happy with this drawing completely but I think the face looks better than the original photograph — not to be “proud”, I’m obviously no Michelangelo, but I feel it looks better. But what I really like is the hair, as usual, went overboard but this needed it a lot ahahaha. Whatever, it’s done!!

The colours look off on the computer. As usual…I don’t know how to fix this. One of the pains of trying to put traditional art into a digital area.

Working on another giftart and a commission for someone.
It’s getting hot here for no reason; it seems like Spring only lasted one day.
I really hate Summer time. I’ll try to avoid the heat by staying inside as much as possible.
I think I draw better in Summer because of that reason there…xD
But, we were cheated out of Spring; boo! And when it does rain, it’s just humid and hot.
